Role Specific Information Job Description About the Role As Director, Creative Design you will set short term and long term brand vision to deliver divisional goals. You will lead proprietary brand product design and creative direction by delivering trend and product relevance. You will lead end-to-end responsibility for proprietary brand creative and strategic direction to meet business and enterprise objectives. You will lead brand and product strategies to be relevant to our target customer and to grow our market share and long term value. You will lead teams through complex and ambiguous environments. You will inspire and engage a team focused on attracting, retaining and developing top talent. This role is a member of the Management Board team. What You’ll Do Set creative direction, brand aesthetic and vision: trends, customer insights, and market research Responsible for end-to-end design and development from product concept to adoption alongside key internal and external partners Guide Senior Design and Art Managers on brand aesthetic direction and align across categories to ensure brand clarity and differentiation Own the partnership with cross functional leaders to create long term and short term strategies to meet our cost and brand objectives Champion innovative solutions and white space opportunities that drive brand and product relevance Partner with merchants to create annual strategies that bring the brand vision and big ideas to life Influence key strategic partners to drive brand clarity, relevance, equity and grow market share Collaborate with GSPS leadership to ensure strong sourcing strategy, materials strategy and vendor matrix Drive and execute innovative solutions related to calendar, process, and finding workload efficiency (team engagement) Initiate and drive the connection from concept to customer through partnership with Marketing, Digital Marketing, Store Experience, Photo Studio, Social Media Be an innovative partner and leader in organization evolution and succession planning Propose and develop process improvements that drive innovation and prioritize workload Develop staff through coaching, performance feedback, providing effective performance assessments and establishing performance and development plans Own and manage various budgets (ie; travel, freelance, art, color, etc) Additional tasks may be assigned as necessary What Skills You Have Required Design and category expertise Strong customer and marketplace expertise Strategic and creative vision with a commercial application Collaborative and influential approach Must have 10+ years of design experience with at least 5 years of management International and domestic travel Preferred In depth knowledge of design techniques, product development, and manufacturing processes Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design or related field Proficient in Adobe programs and/or related system Essential Functions The requirements listed below are representative of functions you will be required to perform, however you may be required to perform additional functions.
