Our specialists will lead transportation functions to ensure accurate, timely delivery of products in the most efficient and cost-effective manner all while providing excellent customer service to our customers. This position is based at our customer onsite location in Stockton, CA office and will follow a hybrid schedule. Standard department hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. What the Candidate Will Do <ul> <li>Use the Transportation Management System (TMS) to its fullest potential in order to facilitate the life cycle of an order</li> <li>Exceed customer on time pick-up and delivery expectations</li> <li>Establish and maintain effective relationships with carriers contracted to the account as well as other carriers operating in your geographical region</li> <li>Effective and timely freight coverage and carrier selection through systemic routing guide and spot shipments including rate negotiation</li> <li>Leverage TMS to effectively route and consolidate orders considering best cost and transit options for all transportation modes</li> <li>Monitoring and resolving shipment data errors</li> <li>Proactive analysis to prevent service failures</li> <li>Proactively develop, recommend and implement cost savings and/or service improvement programs in support of the transportation strategy</li> <li>Professional and timely communications</li> <li>Identify patterns with shipper, receiver, and carrier performance and recommend actions for improvement</li> <li>Resolve carrier invoice discrepancies in TMS financials</li> <li>Train new customer and vendor users on the TMS, demonstrating knowledge of customer business practices and workflow</li> </ul> Basic Qualifications <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED equivalent</li> <li>A minimum of 2–3 years of relevant experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain management is required.</li> </ul> Preferred Qualifications <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Transportation Logistics or Supply Chain Management</li> <li>Strong understanding of cross-border transportation and the freight logistics industry </li> <li>Experience with reefer/frozen, flatbed, LTL & FTL transportation </li> <li>Reporting and Analytics (Ability to run BI reports; validate information; understand reports, offer feedback and deliver insights to your manager and or customer contacts on the information contained within the report)</li> <li>Knowledge of Microsoft and/or Google Tools </li> </ul> </div> Benefits & Compensation for U.S. Employees Employees working more than 30 hours in the US at Uber Freight are eligible for benefits like a company sponsored health plan, dental and vision benefits, 401k match, financial and mental wellness benefits, parental leave, short- and long-term disability coverage, life insurance and more.
