Our specialists will lead transportation functions to ensure accurate, timely delivery of products in the most efficient and cost-effective manner all while providing excellent customer service to our customers. This position is based at our customer onsite location in Stockton, CA office and will follow a hybrid schedule. Standard department hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.</p> <p><strong><span data-contrast="auto"><span data-ccp-parastyle="heading 3">What the Candidate Will Do</span></span></strong></p> <ul> <li>Use the Transportation Management System (TMS) to its fullest potential in order to facilitate the life cycle of an order</li> <li>Exceed customer on time pick-up and delivery expectations</li> <li>Establish and maintain effective relationships with carriers contracted to the account as well as other carriers operating in your geographical region</li> <li>Effective and timely freight coverage and carrier selection through systemic routing guide and spot shipments including rate negotiation</li> <li>Leverage TMS to effectively route and consolidate orders considering best cost and transit options for all transportation modes</li> <li>Monitoring and resolving shipment data errors</li> <li>Proactive analysis to prevent service failures</li> <li>Proactively develop, recommend and implement cost savings and/or service improvement programs in support of the transportation strategy</li> <li>Professional and timely communications</li> <li>Identify patterns with shipper, receiver, and carrier performance and recommend actions for improvement</li> <li>Resolve carrier invoice discrepancies in TMS financials</li> <li>Train new customer and vendor users on the TMS, demonstrating knowledge of customer business practices and workflow</li> </ul> <p><strong><span data-contrast="auto"><span data-ccp-parastyle="heading 3">Basic Qualifications</span></span></strong></p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED equivalent</li> <li>A minimum of 2–3 years of relevant experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain management is required.</li> </ul> <p><strong><span data-contrast="auto"><span data-ccp-parastyle="heading 3">Preferred Qualifications</span></span></strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Transportation Logistics or Supply Chain Management</li> <li>Strong understanding of cross-border transportation and the freight logistics industry </li> <li>Experience with reefer/frozen, flatbed, LTL & FTL transportation </li> <li>Reporting and Analytics (Ability to run BI reports; validate information; understand reports, offer feedback and deliver insights to your manager and or customer contacts on the information contained within the report)</li> <li>Knowledge of Microsoft and/or Google Tools </li> </ul> <strong></strong></div> <p></p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Benefits & Compensation for U.S. Employees</strong></p> <p><span data-olk-copy-source="MessageBody">Employees working more than 30 hours in the US at Uber Freight are eligible for benefits like a company sponsored health plan, dental and vision benefits, 401k match, financial and mental wellness benefits, parental leave, short- and long-term disability coverage, life insurance and more.  US based employees may also be eligible for a performance or sales incentive bonus program, participation in Uber Freight equity awards, and other types of compensation depending upon the role.</span></p> <p> </p> <p><strong><span data-contrast="auto"><span data-ccp-parastyle="heading 3">About Uber Freight</span></span></strong><span data-ccp-props="{"134245418":true,"134245529":true,"201341983":0,"335559738":160,"335559739":80,"335559740":278}"> </span></p> <p><span data-olk-copy-source="MessageBody">Uber Freight is a market-leading enterprise technology company powering intelligent logistics.
