Staff Nurse - Dermatology

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

The shift pattern for this post is yet to be confirmed.

An opportunity has arisen for a band 5 registered nurse to join the Dermatology outpatients Department city wide. The successful candidate will be expected to work within a busy Dermatology unit between both Glasgow Royal infirmary and Stobhill Ach. The day to day duties include assisting at outpatients clinics which will include venepuncture. You will also be covering Phototherapy, Topical treatments, Patch testing and assisting with Surgical sessions.

You will also work within the nursing and multi-professional team to ensure a high standard of person-centred care within the wide variety of both Consultant and nurse led clinics. You will be a suitably qualified nurse and will develop, and /or further develop specialty skills and care in providing a high standard of care for patients with a dermatology condition. Previous dermatology experience is desirable but not essential though you will be expected to demonstrate that you are highly motivated to work within this speciality. Full training and development will be provided if your application is successful.
