Job Summary

As a Customer Care Specialist I - Account Services, you will be the face of Cox Communications, interacting with customers via phone, email, and chat to resolve their concerns, answer questions, and provide personalized solutions. You will be responsible for assessing customer needs, suggesting products and services, and ensuring a seamless customer experience. This is a full-time remote opportunity that requires a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a customer-centric approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess customers' needs and provide personalized solutions to resolve concerns and improve their overall experience.
  • Answer customer inquiries, provide product information, and suggest relevant services to meet their needs.
  • Adjust billing, negotiate claims, and arrange product substitutions/returns as needed.
  • Remain current on Cox Business products and services, ensuring knowledge of features, benefits, and promotions.
  • Own the customer experience, ensuring that every interaction is positive, efficient, and effective.
  • Utilize multiple systems and tools to access customer information, troubleshoot issues, and resolve concerns.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and leadership to share best practices, address customer concerns, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or relevant work experience.
  • 6 months of experience using a computer and navigating multiple screens.
  • 1+ year of customer service experience, preferably in a call center or related environment.
  • Residency in Wichita, KS, Baton Rouge, LA, Oklahoma City, OK, Omaha, NE, Hampton Roads, VA, or surrounding communities.
  • High-speed internet connection available in your home.
  • Excellent skills in creating an exceptional customer experience, sales orientation, multi-tasking, building customer rapport, and problem-solving.
  • Ability to learn and apply new procedures, with a strong aptitude for adapting to changing environments.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills, with a strong ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and leadership.
  • Solid analytical skills to determine the best course of action to resolve customer issues.
  • Ability to work in a highly structured call center environment, with a focus on meeting productivity and quality standards.
  • Enthusiastic and personable, with a positive attitude and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience working in a position that requires meeting sales goals or targets.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a customer service role, preferably in a non-call center environment.
  • Strong aptitude for helping customers and a customer experience focus, with a passion for delivering personalized solutions.
  • Ability to adapt to constant change, with a flexible and agile approach to work.
