About the Role:

The Division of State Operated Healthcare Facilities is seeking an Epic Clinical Documentation (Clin Doc) Analyst to provide ongoing support, build, and maintenance of the Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. This role requires Epic Clin Doc certification (mandatory), with Epic Behavioral Health (BH) and/or Long-Term Care (LTC) certifications strongly preferred.

This position is ideal for an Epic-certified professional with hands-on experience supporting clinical workflows and regulatory documentation standards in healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Epic application support and build for Clinical Documentation workflows, including Nursing, Therapies (PT/OT/SLP/Rehab), Behavioral Health, and Long-Term Care.
  • Collaborate with clinical end users to gather requirements, document workflows, and implement system enhancements.
  • Perform system testing, validation, and end-user support during Epic build, upgrades, and go-live events.
  • Assist with Epic training and at-the-elbow support for Clin Doc users.
  • Troubleshoot issues reported through ServiceNow, providing timely resolutions or escalating when needed.
  • Ensure compliance with CMS, Joint Commission, and State policies for clinical documentation standards.
  • Work closely with other Epic module teams (Orders, HIM, Identity, etc.) to ensure seamless workflow integration.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Epic Clin Doc Certification – 7 years (Required)
  • Epic implementation or operations support – 7 years (Required)
  • Strong understanding of clinical documentation practices in healthcare settings – 7 years (Required)
  • Ability to analyze workflow needs and configure Epic to meet requirements – 7 years (Required)
  • Epic Behavioral Health (BH) and/or Long-Term Care (LTC) Certification – 3 years (Highly Desired)
  • Prior experience as an Epic Clinical Documentation Analyst or Builder – 7 years (Required)
